Q. What is the difference between a Crocheted Snood and classic knit fabric Snoods?
A. The main differences are the design and the manufacturing process, crochet is a weaving process using a crochet hook that will usually complete each stitch before beginning another while the knitting process uses needles and leaves many stitches open at the same time. The end result is that a classic knit fabric snood will usually be solid with no gaps while a crochet snood may have small openings depending on the design and yarn used.
Q. Why do Crochet Snoods have an option for a lining?
A. Because many crochet or chenille Snoods have small gaps in the crochet design that allow either hair or the scalp to peak through many women who have hair loss or are covering for modesty purposes prefer a lining.

A. Fabric knit classic snoods and chenille snoods do not stretch much however crochet snoods tend to stretch over time.

Q. What is the difference between a Chenille Snood and a Pearl Snood?
A. Both the Chenille Snood and the Pearl Snood are woven from textured fabric and can have a similar look. The main difference is that the Chenille Snood is extremely soft and the pearl snood has texture, but is not soft.
Q.I just bought my new Crochet Snood and it looks lumpy/stiff/puffy on my head what should I do?
A. Your snood needs time to adjust to your head. Continue to wear it as is, and it will adjust to the particular contours of your head. If you wish to accelerate the process of the snood's adjustment, wear it in a light drizzle or with slightly damp hair. However, if trying this, be very careful not to overdo the "dampness" as to much wetness can cause the snood to stretch.
Q. How should I wash my Crochet snood?
A. Any crochet snood that we carry that can be machine washed carries a label saying as much. If it does not carry such a label, then it should be hand washed cold in the sink with a gentle detergent and then laid flat (in a round circle) on a towel to dry. Make sure not to hang your snood as this will cause it to stretch.

A. How often you wish to wash your crochet snood is dependent upon you, however, each time that you wash it, it will lose some of its crispness and will stretch that much faster.

A. Since the crochet snoods do stretch somewhat, as the snood stretches, the lining will end up being the right size for your snood.
Q. How do I tighten my Crochet Snood?
A. There is an elastic thread running through the edge of the crochet snood. Find the point where it is tied or sewn together, and tie tighter depending on your need. (A note of caution - tightening the elastic even slightly will have a big impact on how tight the snood gets. A good thing to do is to put in a slipknot that you can tighten and loosen as necessary!)
